Subclass 820 allows spouse or de facto partner of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia temporarily. This visa is the first step to gain a permanent partner visa subclass 801.

This visa lets spouse or de facto partner of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to live in Australia permanently. This visa is only issued for people who hold subclass 820 visa.
